This is just a quick post but if you are interested in a hot rod that is complete or in good shape I have found a guy that has a few nice cars and trucks for sale. He has a ‘49 Merc (I think that was the year), a few Nomads, a couple of 50’s Ford PUs and a early model Chevy dragster PU. Heck he had more than I can remember but I do have pictures that I will upload soon. If you want though you can contact Grizz at 256-593-7630. His place is called Po’ Boy’s Used Cars and it is located at 1466 highway 431 south in Boaz, AL 35956. His card says that he will buy-sell-trade for anything. If you don’t mind tell him James Terrell from www.coolschoolrodz.com sent you. Now he did have a few cars that still needed a little work also if you are interested in something like that also. If you want leave a comment and I will get more information for you.
Me and my dad took a little ride today just looking for some classic cars just hoping we would come across a few gems. Well I think we may have found the mother load! We ran upon two places within a mile of each other that had thirty or more classics each. Desoto’s, and Hudsons, and Nashes oh my!
All of the cars at the first site were just begging for some attention and the thing is they were all for sale. You know, for lack of money all of our dreams are dashed. Anyone looking for a Fleetline in fairly good shape? Well here ya go;
What about a Merc? Well heres one of them too;
I have a plenty more pictures where that came from but it may take me a while to get them all uploaded. Oh, notice the picture in the header? Yep, I took that picture there also. Maybe by tomorrow night I will have a photo album with all of them uploaded for yall to see but until then here is one more, I am gonna let you guess at this one though;
For those of you that are new to this site or are returning to check on the status, welcome! I have been doing some work and we are about to see this site expand and go full speed. This site will be dedicated to the gearhead, fabricator, and hot rod lover. I will try to provide relevant articles on all things involved in the art of turning those simple cars and trucks into your babies. You will also be able to talk about your projects over in the hot rod forum or maybe you want to ask a question or give us a tip. That is what the forum is for, a place for you to go and share information and pick up stuff that you didn’t know. Want to show off that build or your project? Well we have hot rod galleries also.
Expect at least one article a week and every time I add something to my little projects I will try and keep it posted and maybe do a few how to articles for those of you that may need a little help. If you have any questions or comments don’t be afraid to post them either here as a comment (see the comment link below the post) or in the forums. Until the next post I will leave you with a little video that may explain a little about hot rods to you. Remember to come on back to Cool School Rodz and visit us.
Now a little about me, as of right now I am 35, a father of 2 and I have been happily married now for almost 16 years (time sure does fly when your having fun). I am in the military and have been for almost 10 years. Before that I did many other jobs like driving a truck, welding in a fabrication shop, doing a little carpenter and concrete work, and working on cars. Heck I still do some of that stuff just not full time. I have been working my hand at this website stuff since December of 06 and my site Open Road Biker is increasing steadily in it’s viewers. Oh by the way I am a biker, I love to ride and sometimes that interferes in my web publishing so I hope you forgive me if I miss a few days while away at a rally or something. Well that is all for now, go read some of the stuff on the site.
